Pencil with a twist mechanism
The writing and drawing instrument's mechanism is manufactured in Germany. When the twisting knob is rotated, the tip's chuck opens, allowing the graphite to be advanced. Upon releasing the twisting mechanism, the chuck closes, securing the graphite in place.
Additionally, the Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr. 2 mechanical pencil contains a compartment that can hold multiple refills at once and automatically advances the next one when the current one is depleted. The graphite lead in this writing instrument is 0.7 mm and the hardness is HB.
Drehgriffel Nr. 2 is the victor in the Stationery division. This pencil, with its unique twist mechanism, is a standout writing tool renowned for its superior quality and performance. In addition, Drehgriffel Nr. 1, influenced by the 1920s and distinguished by a hexagonal barrel, contrasting tapered tip, and twist button, received the esteemed Red Dot Design award in 2020.
